Extruded Aluminum Tubing
Profile Precision Extrusions is nationally recognized for its expertise in extruded aluminum tubing and hollow custom aluminum shapes. Alloys available are:
- 6061-T6
- 6063-T5
- 3003-H112.
- All alloys are also available in 0 temper.
Profile has the ability to extrude aluminum tube that meets or exceeds the Aluminum Association dimensional requirements for drawn aluminum tube. For example, Profile currently produces an extruded tube:
- Outside Diameter Tolerance: +/-.003”
- Inside Diameter Tolerance: +/-.001”
The benefits to Profile's customer are reduced machining and the elimination of honing operations.

Profile also extrudes small diameter aluminum tubing in sizes that have up until now been only available in seamless drawn tube form. Round tube and more complex tube shapes are regularly ordered in the 5mm diameter size range. The extrusion process is less costly than the drawn tube process, which requires up to 5-10 operations to yield a 5mm tube. The benefit for the customer is a lower cost product and superior dimensional characteristics.
Commercially available extruded aluminum tube and seamless drawn aluminum tube generally must be purchased in 1000 lb increments. Profile Precision Extrusions flexible manufacturing philosophy allows customers to purchase as little as 10 lbs at a time. Lead times of 3-4 weeks are available, compared to 6-8 weeks for commercially produced tube.
Profile also offers round, square and custom extruded aluminum tubing cut to lengths as short as .500", clear & hard coat anodizing, and complete fabrication services.
